The Laconia Lofts are located at 1200 Washington Street in the SOWA section of the South End. Laconia Lofts consists of 98 loft-style residential units as well as 6 commercial units. While the majority of development in the SOWA neighborhood has been conversions from older standing buildings, Laconia Lofts was ground-up construction built in 1999. The development is unique in that each original owner, who were mostly artists, were able to design the interior of their homes to their specifications. This makes for a building with a variety of units that all have very unique interiors.
The condominiums at Laconia Lofts all feature soaring ceilings and large picture windows. The building also has underground garage parking, a spacious lobby and elevator. The building is professionally managed and has very reasonable condo fees given the quality and size of the complex. The smallest units in the complex are roughly 1,000 square feet while the larger homes a Laconia Lofts are big as 2,500 square feet.
Located in the SOWA section of the South End, Laconia Lofts, is within walking distance to the up and coming Ink Block home of a brand new Whole Foods. This location also provides convenient access to all of the great restaurants and shops in the South End as well as easy access to the Back Bay.
