About The Basilica

The Basilica is a historic ship-building factory that was converted to 92 condominiums in 1998. The building features many original details, including exposed brick, arched windows and ship-building components from it’s past. Condos at The Basilica range from 1 beds with 650 sq/ft to 2 beds with 1,200+ sq/ft. Many units in this building have soaring ceilings and skylights. The Basilica has a wide range of floorplans, including single floor residences, duplexes and loft-like condos.

The Basilica is a professionally managed, elevator building that was built in 1920 as a ship building factory. Many of the residents in this building have direct-access garage parking. The Basilica is a pet-friendly building. Since the condo conversions in 1998, many of the condos have been nicely updated.

The Basilica is located in the historic Charlestown Navy Yard.  The Navy Yard was established in 1800 to build & service US warships.  The Navy Yard enjoyed a proud history of military service until 1975, when it was closed.  The Charlestown Navy Yard is 30 acres of Boston National Historic Park and has access to Boston via water shuttle, ferry and bus service.  The neighborhood has several large parks, restaurants and stunning views of Boston and the Harbor. The Navy Yard is also home to other large residential buildings like Flagship Wharf, Parris Landing and Shipway Place.
