It’s a Dog’s Life…

Boston is not only filled with universities and students, hospitals and doctors, it is filled with dogs and their humans.  Each week I receive at least one inquiry for a sale or rental of a pet friendly property.  No longer just a suburban pet, the urban dog is welcome in many places – in certain outdoor patio dining, in private dog parks, and in some designated areas of public places.  The services for these pets are innumerable – dog boutiques for accessories and natural food items; doggie day care with transportation; daily walks; overnight vacation services, and in home veterinary calls.

Many condominium buildings along Boston’s Waterfront are pet friendly.  As a lover of dogs, I do everything in my power to find a home for my wonderful canine residents and their people.

Here is a current list of some of the pet friendly buildings in the Waterfront:

Intercontinental: Owners and TenantsBoston Dog Park

Rowes Wharf: Owners only with Management approval

Harbor Towers: Owners only

Commercial Wharf: Owners and Tenants

Lewis Wharf: No Dogs

Mariner: Owners and Tenants

Bulfinch: Owners and Tenants

Union Wharf: Owners only

Lincoln Wharf: No Dogs

Burroughs Wharf: Owners and Tenants with Restriction

Battery Wharf:  Owners and Tenants

“Old Ironsides” Annual Fourth of July Turnaround

In part of a 4th of July tradition, the U.S.S. Constitution raised its colors, hoisted its sails and left port from the Charlestown Navy Yard for its annual turnaround.  “Old Ironsides” is the oldest vessel still commissioned in the United States Naval fleet.

In the Boston Harbor last Monday, the warship sailed along the Boston Waterfront until it reached Castle Island where its crew conducted a 21-gun salute from its battery of canons before turning around and returning to its home for another year.  Here’s a video of this year’s event.  Doesn’t get any more patriotic than this… Happy Birthday, America.

The Stanley Cup once again was raised high over the Boston Waterfront neighborhood with the Boston Bruins and friends. But the celebration didn’t stop here.  The Cup was also paraded through the city on Saturday, starting from the Garden in the North End and through a sea of ‘black & yellow’ all the way to Copley Plaza.  But while it was here on the Waterfront at the Union Wharf luxury buildings, NorthEndWaterfront.com captured these great photos.

It’s been a long awaited return of the Stanley Cup for Bruins fans throughout New England.  They have loyally stood by their team for 39 years, and now they can once again call themselves, champions.     And what a thrill it has been.  This year’s playoffs were nothing short of epic.  We can’t help but get excited ourselves, and what’s even better, the Cup made it to our own Waterfront neighborhood.  Here are just a couple photos we managed to get around the Union Wharf luxury Buildings during their visit.

Zdeno Chára, team captain of the Bruins, holds the Cup during a visit at the Boston Waterfront.

In the Boston real estate market, there is nothing more sought after and desired than a Waterfront property located in one of the historic Wharf buildings, which are made of brick, stone, and beams.

Some of these buildings you might know as “Lewis Wharf, Commercial Wharf, Union Wharf, Rowes Wharf or Battery Wharf.  When you hear the term “Law of Scarcity” or “They don’t build’em like that anymore” or “location, location, location”, think of these wonderful Wharf buildings on Boston’s Waterfront!

Boston’s Waterfront is truly unique, not only does a Waterfront home in one of these luxury Wharf buildings offer amazing views, but the buildings that occupy the existing frontage are built with granite, hand hewed beams, and Boston brick by talented artisans of a by- gone era using the best possible craftsmanship.

The Waterfront Wharf buildings majestically extend like fingers out into Boston’s saltwater harbor, and are even more unique than the Waterfront on which they located.  These Wharf buildings have Boston’s rugged, distinctive and yet refined old-world appeal.  Many of these buildings are nearly two hundred years old and have been recently renovated bringing them into the 21st century with every modern amenity.

When considering the purchase of a home in Boston, one must also consider that in this marketplace the uniqueness of the Boston’s Waterfront Wharf buildings make for an excellent choice because they hold and provide the best value for resale.  These magnificent buildings become only more desirable and valuable as they age.  Contact CL Waterfront Properties LLC today for help buying your next luxury waterfront home.

Get the most from your trip to Boston!  Visit Boston, and you’ll discover the charm of one of America’s oldest and most Historical Waterfronts.  Boston’s many tourism and historical attractions provide visitors with plenty of places to explore and interesting things to do.

Naturally, Boston has changed a lot since Samuel Adams and fellow Sons of Liberty plotted their tea party in the local taverns near the Boston Waterfront – but you’ll still find the old Wharfs plus plenty of other authentic historical sites, right next to skyscrapers, gleaming hotels, and some of the best Waterfront Locations the city has to offer to call home.
